BEVERAGE MARKETING CORPORATION ACQUIRES ADULT BEVERAGE DATABASE FROM TECHNOMIC

Companies Broaden Their Strategic Partnership

NEW YORK, NY, March 2016: In a major move to enhance its coverage of the U.S. beverage business, Beverage Marketing Corporation has acquired the total market adult beverage information in the DRINK database developed by Technomic Inc., a Winsight company.

Beverage Marketing will integrate Technomic's historical data into its own DrinkTell™ database and, going forward, continue to collect and make this information available through DrinkTell™. In addition, the company will use this and other data as the basis to extend its series of authoritative BMC Market Reports with new wine, beer, and spirits reports.

The data published in these reports (as well as quarterly updates) will become simultaneously available as part of Beverage Marketing's DrinkTell™ Database–which covers virtually the entire beverage universe.

This acquisition broadens the partnership between Beverage Marketing and Technomic, which began in February 2015 with a strategic alliance to share market information across the businesses. Technomic will continue to source Beverage Marketing's data assets in the development of adult beverage products including industry reports, consumer and operator intelligence, and custom research and advisory services.
